GEORGIA Tax Credits

As-Of: June 2026 | Tax Credit: 20-30% transferable (NO CAP)

Georgia remains the most producer-friendly film incentive program in the U.S. Productions filming in-state qualify for 20% base transferable credit, with an additional 10% available for including a Georgia promotional logo—reaching 30%. Most significantly, Georgia has NO annual cap and NO per-project cap. Effective January 1, 2026, Georgia expanded its program to include 20% post-production credit (+10% uplift) on minimum $500K spend. The unlimited structure is unique and provides certainty unavailable in programs with annual caps. Georgia’s infrastructure is exceptional: Tyler Perry Studios, Atlanta’s established crew base, diverse locations, and excellent film office support. Credits are transferable; Georgia’s broker market typically clears at 88-90 cents on the dollar. For any production type seeking Southeast locations, Georgia deserves primary consideration. The combination of generous incentives, no caps, excellent infrastructure, and proven expertise makes Georgia the top Southeast choice.
