Arizona film insurance
If you plan to shoot film in Arizona, you may want to start here:: https://www.azcommerce.com/film-media/film-offices/
We are so grateful and proud to be a provider of very affordable production insurance to the film, movie, and entertainment industry in Arizona. At one point in time, Arizona was the #3 filming location in the US, nest to California and New York. We have insured a wide variety of film, movie, and entertainment productions throughout the state, and are quite familiar with providing the proper evidence of insurance to the variety of film, city, and state entities.
Arizona hopes to bring Hollywood back to the desert!

The film industry plays a key role in the economy and drives a huge network of individuals, vendors, artists, creators, producers, and visionaries together to create the images and tell the stories that compose the very fabric of our culture. Arizona has incredible resources, in terms of locations and talent, that span an incredibly diverse geographical and cultural area.
Film festivals are a vital component of the Indie community. Arizona has a rich festival culture. Here is a list of Arizona Film Festivals~
We support the “Indie” and provide the same level of service to each account, whether we are quoting insurance for a student project or a large feature. Short term production insurance as well as annual DICE policies are available.
As-Of: June 2026 | Tax Credit: 5% base + 2.5% uplifts
Arizona offers a limited 5% base film tax credit with additional uplifts available: 2.5% for Arizona resident production labor and 2.5% for use of Qualified Production Facilities, reaching approximately 10% maximum. The state’s previous robust program lapsed after 2010, and efforts to renew it have stalled, resulting in Arizona’s current constrained incentive environment. Despite modest incentive rates, Arizona remains attractive for certain productions due to diverse locations—desert landscapes for westerns, urban Phoenix/Scottsdale settings, and varied terrain. Production costs are moderate compared to competitors. The state’s film commission provides location assistance and permitting support. Arizona typically functions as a secondary location choice rather than incentive-driven decision. Verify current program funding before committing to Arizona, as support has historically been inconsistent. Location value matters more than incentive percentage here.
Reference Dates: All information current as of June 2026. Film tax incentive programs change regularly. Verify current program details and funding availability with each state film office before finalizing location decisions. Please do your own research.
