Alaska film insurance
We are so grateful and proud to be a provider of very affordable production insurance to the film, movie, and entertainment industry in Alaska. We have insured a wide variety of film, movie, and entertainment productions throughout the state, and are quite familiar with providing the proper evidence of insurance to the variety of film, city, and state entities.
The film industry plays a key role in the economy and drives a huge network of individuals, vendors, artists, creators, producers, and visionaries together to create the images and tell the stories that compose the very fabric of our culture. Alaska has incredible resources, in terms of locations and talent, that span an incredibly diverse geographical and cultural area.

As-Of: June 2026 | Tax Credit: NO STATE PROGRAM
Alaska has no active statewide film tax incentive program as of June 2026. While the state offers unmatched natural scenery—glaciers, mountains, pristine wilderness—the lack of state financial incentives means productions must budget full costs without offset. Alaska’s lack of incentives reflects state budget constraints and historically lower production volume compared to competitive states. Some independent productions have shot in Alaska using creative financing, but without formal incentive programs, projects face significant challenges. The absence of established film infrastructure, crew bases, and equipment rental options compounds these difficulties. For productions where Alaska locations are creatively non-negotiable, the full-cost model may still work if budget accommodates premium spending. Alaska’s Film Office provides location assistance and permitting support, but no financial incentives. Factor this into your decision-making process.
Reference Dates: All information current as of June 2026. Film tax incentive programs change regularly. Verify current program details and funding availability with each state film office before finalizing location decisions. Please do your own research.
